Hunt Groups

Hunt groups allow incoming calls to a specific target number, such as a main department number, to be answered by a defined group of staff members. 


The target number is removed from all phones and virtualized in the phone system as a hunt pilot number.  Callers will continue to dial the target number as usual.  All staff members who are responsible for answering this number are added to a hunt group.  Incoming calls are automatically transferred to these staff members using a set algorithm.  If no staff members are available the caller can be sent to voicemail or even a Call Handler.
