Using OpenPorts

An OpenPort allows you to connect to the UB network using publicly accessible network jacks and your Ethernet cabling. Find OpenPort locations and learn how to use OpenPorts.

Getting Started with OpenPorts

To Use OpenPort You Need:

  • A 10/100 network interface in your computer
  • A category 5 Ethernet cable
  • Your UBITName and password

When logging in use your UBITName and password.

OpenPort Locations

OpenPorts are available in some departments and publicly in the University Libraries in these locations:
