The instructions for connecting Android devices to eduroam have changed, so even if you’ve connected an Android phone or tablet before, you should review the process on the UBIT website before you connect.

What has changed?

The previous process was able to automatically detect that you were trying to connect to eduroam Wi-Fi at UB and configure your device accordingly.

Now, when you open the SecureW2 JoinNow app, you’ll have to do the following:

  • Click Search and Set Up
  • Enter buffalo.edu in the Domain field
  • Select eduroam-tls

Then tap Next and you’ll be asked to enter your UBITName and password. Now your Android device should be connected to eduroam Wi-Fi, and should connect automatically whenever you’re in range.
