UB offers a variety of apps for virtual collaboration. The app or apps you choose to replace Skype for Business may depend on your role at UB. Your departmental IT support staff can help you make the best choice for your needs. Or, contact the UBIT Help Center, online at buffalo.edu/ubit/help or by phone at 716-645-3542, to discuss your options.

Skype for Business offered video and audio calls along with messaging, screen sharing and other features found in more contemporary solutions like Zoom and Webex.

Zoom in particular is used much more widely at UB; a recent survey of over 800 UB faculty showed that greater than 99% of respondents were using Zoom, and over half said they were “very comfortable” with Zoom.
