WHAT: Some UB North Campus Network and Telephone Services Briefly Unavailable

WHEN: Friday, 11/08/2019 6:30 p.m. EST

WHERE: UB Phone and Wireless customers on the University's North Campus in the following buildings:

- Human Resources and Development Building
- Chemical Storage Building
- Helm Building
- Baker Chilled Water Plant
- Statler Commissary
- Computing Center
- Natural Sciences Complex
- Crofts Hall
- Hochstetter Hall
- Cooke Hall
- Fronczak Hall
- John Beane Center
- Center for Tomorrow
- Baird Research Park
- Math Building
- Governor's Complex
- Flickinger Court
- Hadley Village
- Creekside Village
- Ellicott Complex
- Greiner Hall

Telephony and Wireless service is currently intermittent for some customers in these buildings. This emergency maintenance will result in an interruption of approximately 15 minutes or less.

The following services are impacted at this time:

- VoIP Telephones
- Wireless Network Access
- eduroam
- UB_Secure
- UB_Connect
- ResNet Network Access

An update to this UBIT Alert will be made at on Monday, 11/11/19 at 10:00 a.m., or when the problem is resolved (if earlier).

Technical Detail:

A change will be made to communications equipment to restore UB Phone and Wireless services. These changes will result in an interruption of approximately 15 minutes or less while this emergency maintenance takes place.
