Can you share a bit about your background, and what led you to pursue a career in IT?

Over the years, I’ve acquired a unique viewpoint on projects and their complexities through a wide range of experiences. I've worked in IT, academic affairs, presidents’ offices, business services, libraries, and student activities in both small, private and large, public institutions. IT specifically interests me because our projects can impact all sectors of the university.

What excites you about working at the University at Buffalo and UBIT?

I love being a Bull! As an alum, UB gave me life-long friends and amazing learning opportunities as a student. Now, as an employee in UBIT, I get to meet fantastic colleagues with great problem solving and critical thinking skills.

What is your favorite movie (or book), and why?

My favorite book is Joan Didion’s We Tell Ourselves Stories in Order to Live: Collected Nonfiction. Didion’s precision in her works is incomparable.

What is the most interesting place you have ever visited, and why?

It would have to be The Burren National Park in County Clare, Ireland; its ecological wonder and views of the Atlantic Ocean are breathtaking.

What is a piece of advice you have received that has stuck with you over the years?

“Comparision is the thief of joy.”
