CIT Help Desk Student Assistant

The CIT Help Desk is hiring student assistants and work study students.

About the Position

CIT Help Desk consultants provide assistance through telephone, email, and in person consultation to faculty, students and staff.

Consultants are responsible for providing technical assistance on central UB services, such as accounts, file sharing, networks, printing, email and teaching technology.


To be considered you must be a registered UB undergraduate or graduate student (this job is NOT a graduate assistantship), you must have an active UBITName, you must have at least three (3) full fall and/or spring semesters remaining at UB.

Applicants should be reliable, and able to work cooperatively under minimal supervision.

Applicants should be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.

Applicants should have a positive customer service attitude, prior customer service experience is desired but not required.

Successful consultants listen carefully, express ideas clearly and converse comfortably with strangers.
