This report highlights the recent progress and accomplishments of Transinfo during the reporting period of October 1st, 2017 – March 31st, 2018 with a focus on the continued support of graduate student education and training in transportation informatics; outreach activities including planning for the Fourth Annual Symposium on Transportation Informatics; and new partners in collaborative research.

CUTC 2017

The latest report, covering April 1st, 2017 - October 31st, 2017, details the continued success of TransInfo, including: (1) A Successful 2017 Annual Summer Meeting of the Council of the University Transportation Centers (CUTC) in downtown Buffalo on June 19th, 20th, & 21st, 2017; (2) continued graduate student involvement in research with eight new projects; (3) New partners in collaborative research; and (4) leveraging TransINFO funds for follow-on funding.

Peace Bridge

This reporting period, covering October 1st, 2014 – March 31st, 2015 focused on: (1) continued research activities; (2) education and training activities for TransInfo graduate students; (3) outreach activities including formal collaboration agreement with the Transportation Research Institute (IMOB) of Hasselt University in Belgium, and planning for the First Annual Symposium on Transportation Informatics; (4) leveraging TransINFO funds for follow-on funding; and (5) faculty accomplishments.

Covering October, 2013 through September, 2014 TransINFO's first year progress report focuses on the accomplishments, measured outcomes and deliverables of research; outreach initiatives to governmental agencies, members from the transportation industry and the international community, as well as prospective transportation students; continued graduate student involvement in research; and leveraging TransINFO funds for follow-on funding.

TransINFO partners

During the first reporting period, work has focused on establishing the TransInfo Center; initiating TransInfo’s research program at the different universities; involving graduate students in TransInfo’s research activities; starting a bi-weekly transportation seminar series at the University at Buffalo (UB); securing funding for a National Summer Transportation Institute at UB; and outreach activities.
