Each month, the LGBTQ+ Center hosts an interactive educational series centered on topics of interest, identified by students.
January: LGBTQ+ Alumni Career Panel
Tuesday, January 27 | 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. | SU 215
In collaboration with the Career Design Center and Alumni Engagement the LGBTQ+ Center will host a panel with student moderators and Q&A, focused on learning about career paths and the lived experience of being an LGBTQ+ professional. Snacks and drinks will be served.
February: Student Comedy Show - "Three Cheers for Queers!"
Friday, February 20 | 7 - 8:30 p.m. | SU Theater
In collaboration with the UB student comedy club, UB Stand up and Laugh, the LGBTQ+ Center will be hosting a comedy show focused on celebrating queer joy and unique experiences.
March: Trans Day of Visibility
Tuesday, March 31 | 5- 7 p.m. | SU 240
A student will present on the history of Trans Day of Visibility, followed by an “open mic” style event featuring crafts and activities.
April: LGBTQ+ Faculty, Staff Association & Student Meet and Greet
Thursday, April 2 | 4 - 6 p.m. | SU 210
In collaboration with LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Association, this event will feature “get to know me” presentations from faculty and staff members with an opportunity for students to ask questions and chat with FSA members. Students will receive a swag bag from the FSA and refreshment will be served.
