Whether you’re feeling sick — or you want to stay healthy — we’re here to help take great care of you during your time at UB.
As part of comprehensive sexual health care, UB Student Health Services offers STI screening and treatment, vaccinations for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and human papillomavirus (HPV), contraception, emergency contraception, cervical cancer screening, condoms, HIV PrEP and PEP, and doxy PEP.
doxy PEP (doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis) can reduce the risk of getting some STIs for men or transgender women who have condomless sex with men or transgender women and have a history of gonorrhea, chlamydia, or syphilis in the past 12 months.
HIV PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is medicine that people at risk for HIV take to protect themselves from getting HIV.
HIV PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) is medicine that prevents HIV if started within 72 hours after a possible exposure to HIV.
