October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. Everyone can make a difference in preventing sexual and relationship violence on campus. Resources are available to students, faculty and staff.

Every October, UB recognizes Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) as a time to raise public awareness about domestic violence, to educate and inspire our community to prevent it, and provide support for members of our community who have experienced it.

There are many ways for individuals, groups, and offices to get involved in DVAM at UB. You can learn more about sexual violence prevention and response by attending any of the programs, workshops and/or events offered by Health Promotion throughout October.

Get involved on Social Media!

For each day in October, there will be a prompt for individuals to post a picture on Instagram. Each week, anyone who participates by posting at least one response to a photo prompt and tagging @theuballiance will be entered into a giveaway!

Whether you participate virtually, in person, live, asynchronously or on social media, we encourage everyone to get involved as much as they can to show their support for survivors and show the UB Community we can make a difference together!
