Event Details

Each event will take place at the Alumni Arena Ed Wright Practice Facility (triple gym) from 12 - 2 p.m. on their respective dates.  All equipment will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring a water bottle.

Goalball - Saturday, Sept. 28

Join Accessibility Resources and the Western New York Association of Blind Athletes for a goalball clinic. Goalball is an exciting, fast-paced team sport designed for blind and visually impaired people to play. Everyone can participate in this sport as all athletes wear blindfolds as they play!

Universal Design Yoga - Saturday, Oct. 19

Join AR for a universal design yoga clinic. Universal Design Yoga considers all body types, abilities, and levels of comfortability doing yoga. It is strongly encouraged that you bring your own yoga mat, though we will have some available to borrow. We will also have some yoga blocks, bolsters, and water available for attendees.

Wheelchair/Blind Tennis - Saturday, Nov. 23

AR and Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports are hosting a wheelchair/blind tennis clinic. Wheelchair tennis is an adaptive version of tennis where the players are in sports wheelchairs. The sports wheelchairs are provided by Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports. Blind tennis uses a particular ball that makes noise to alert players to where the ball is. Blindfolds and tennis rackets will be provided.
