Whether it's working in community gardens around Buffalo, NY or teaching English to children in the Dominican Republic, UB students are making a positive global impact.

Four Cities, Four Life-Changing Experiences

Alternative Break programs let you volunteer, perform community service, and have unique learning opportunities during your winter or spring break. The projects the students participate with address issues such as poverty, homelessness, hunger, literacy, civil rights, disaster relief, educational access, and environmental justice. The objective of the Alternative Break program is to immerse students in service projects to learn about social justice issues and the communities that host our teams.

Come learn more about these trips and travel locations through our information sessions throughout the month of September!
