With a group of supportive peers and mentors, group support can help you reduce financial stress and promote positive financial behaviors.
UB’s Financial Wellness Program is offering a free, 3-session group support program for all students interested in promoting their financial well-being. In addition to the one-on-one coaching and workshops already offered, these interactive group sessions will serve as a non-judgmental space to learn about money and personal finance; share attitudes and beliefs around financial wellness with fellow students; and hold each other accountable for financial goal-setting.
We will have worksheets, activities, and conversations throughout each of the 3 weeks with topics like: budgeting; saving and investing; debt repayment; and more. As a group, we will identify the various beliefs around money that we share and find ways to align our financial behavior with our personal values. Students will commit to attending all 3 meetings of the series, so we will stay connected to share insights, celebrate successes, and continue our progress together while we build upon our knowledge base from each session.
You must pre-register on the UB Linked Health Promotion page by February 26.
First Series: Mondays 2/28, 3/7, and 3/14 from 12 – 1:30 p.m. OR
Second Series: Wednesdays 4/6, 4/13, and 4/20 from 4 – 5:30 p.m.
These sessions will take place virtually over Zoom.
