Weekly Testing Begins Feb. 8

Published February 5, 2021

All students who live on campus, or who will be on campus regularly are required to get tested every week, beginning Feb. 8.

Announced Jan. 25, a new SUNY mandate requires students on campus to get tested for COVID-19 every week. Student testing will be available in the Student Union, Greiner and Diefendorf, by reservation. Locations have appointments Monday-Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

On campus students include:

  • Resident students.
  • Students who are taking one or more classes with an in-person component.
  • Students who use on-campus services such as dining, libraries or fitness facilities.
  • Student employees who work on campus.

Reservations for weekly testing will begin Friday, February 5. Students will be able to schedule their mandatory weekly testing appointments in the same way they scheduled return-to-campus testing.

Walk-Up Appointments

The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (JSMBS) is available for walk-up testing downtown.

Testing Exemptions

If you have a health risk or cannot/will not report for testing, please use the EXEMPTION FORM to submit your reason.

(NOTE: Tests collected off-campus will NOT be accepted for weekly surveillance testing.)

Consequences for Non-Compliance

Regular COVID-19 testing is an effective way to keep our campus safe, and disregarding this mandate will have consequences.
