Hispanic Heritage Month, recognized annually from September 15 to October 15, celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of individuals and communities whose ancestry traces back to Spain, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.

Week of September 15

September 15: Hispanic Heritage Month Student Mixer
3-5 p.m., Student Union Lobby
Come join us as we kick off Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) with a Latinx Student Mixer theme.  This mixer provides an opportunity to connect students, staff, faculty, and students alike from across the campus. Through a celebration of culture, attendees will enhance cultural awareness and a sense of belonging.

September 17: Tough Topics: Latinx Identities 
3-4 p.m., SU 240 & Online (http://bit.ly/IDCProgram)
Come join us as we discuss Latinx identities throughout the Latin diaspora and celebrate the similarities yet differences between them.
