Accessibility Resources Construction Access

Published January 8, 2020

Access to Accessibility Resources will be impacted by Founders Plaza construction beginning January 2020.

Construction fencing for the One World Café project has been installed on Founders Plaza. Students looking to access Accessibility Resources during Founders Plaza construction will not be able to enter Capen Hall from Flint Loop (South side of Capen Hall). Alternate access is available from Norton Hall or the Natural Sciences Complex

To access Accessibility Resources from the south side of Capen Hall, enter Norton Hall or the Natural Sciences Complex.

  • Norton Hall: Take stairs or elevator to ground level. Once on the ground level, proceed down the corridor past 1Capen, turn left and follow the corridor to the end of the hall.
  • Natural Sciences: Take stairs or elevator to ground level. Once on the ground level, proceed down the corridor to Capen Hall and turn right to enter the office.

Entrance/exit doors within the work zone at Capen and Norton Halls will be marked as “Emergency Exit Only.” Signage will be installed to indicate alternate exits within the building to direct pedestrians to alternate entrances into Capen and Norton.

Mary Talbert Way (North side of Capen Hall) access remains the same:

  1. Enter the building in the front (from the doors facing Mary Talbert Way) or from the doors on the right side of the building adjacent the loading and parking area
  2. Take the corridor from the right side of the lobby
  3. Enter our office through the double doors at the end of the corridor
