Help stop the spread on-campus and off-campus by following these guidelines and mandates.

Physical (Social) Distancing

  • Practice social distancing from others.
  • Follow directional and spacing guidelines and instructions.
  • Use video chat instead of meeting in person, and follow university guidelines for in-person group gatherings.
  • We advise against attending off-campus events where you can’t wear a mask and/or maintain social distancing; this includes large off-campus parties.

Feel Sick? Stay Home!

  • Do a CDC COVID-19 symptom self-check every day before leaving your home.
  • Stay home and contact your health care provider if you are sick or experiencing any symptoms.

Wear a Mask

  • A face covering must be worn at all times including outdoor spaces on UB’s campuses, to further reduce the risk of transmission as people travel from place to place.

Keeping Things Clean

  • Wash your hands frequently, or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.
  • Dispose of used tissues immediately and wash your hands.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Personal Behavior and Responsibility

Whether you’re on-campus or off-campus, it’s important to act responsibly to help keep yourself and others safe.

  • Avoid alcohol and other drugs, which can lower your inhibitions, weaken your immune system and impact your judgment
  • Practice safer sex, which is especially important to help prevent the spread of COVID-19
