Get real-world experience from a mentor in the field of student affairs, and find out if working for a college or university is the right career path for you.
The Student Affairs Mentoring Program and Leadership Experience (SAMPLE) is designed for undergraduate students who are interested in higher education and student affairs. Through this program, which lasts for one academic year, you will be paired with an on-campus student affairs professional mentor who will help you learn more about careers in student affairs.
If you are interested in the SAMPLE program, please apply through UBLinked. Applicants will be contacted within three business days of submitting their application and will be accepted on a rolling basis.
Students who participate in the SAMPLE program are also eligible to apply to the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP), which is sponsored by a national association for student affairs professionals. The Student Engagement office will assist students who are interested in applying.
