S.A.G.E. Internship Program

Have you overcome adversity on your path to success at UB? If so, you may be eligible for S.A.G.E. — the Success through Access to Guidance and Experience Internship Program.

A Paid Internship and Networking Opportunity

As a SAGE intern, you’ll have the ability to get a paid internship position, as well as mentorship, networking opportunities and personal guidance related to your educational and career goals. It’s a great way to gain professional development skills and real-life work experience.

Eligibility

  • Junior or Senior status while in the program
  • Minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA
  • U.S. Citizenship / Permanent Resident / Legal Alien permitted to work in the U.S.
  • Student must identify with an underrepresented/nontraditional student population
  • Student must identify with having overcome adversity in relation to higher education

Requirements

  • Maintain 2.50 GPA, cumulative and per semesters
  • Secure your own internship by the deadline (typically around the beginning of the fall semester)
  • Complete up to 10 hours per week at internship site
  • Complete biweekly timesheets and submit on time
  • Attend all SAGE bimonthly meetings
  • Attend monthly meetings with the SAGE Coordinator
  • Schedule a site visit with the SAGE Coordinator
  • Participate in one SAGE committee
  • Attend one professional development workshop per semester
  • Participate in one community service project per semester
  • Dress in appropriate attire to the internship site
  • Complete end-of-semester evaluations
