Meghan McDevitt-Murphy, PhD, is an associate professor of psychology at The University of Memphis and a Fellow in the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. Her current research focuses on the co-occurrence of PTSD and substance misuse. She has conducted studies to develop interventions for hazardous drinking among veterans and has explored PTSD and substance misuse in both veteran and non-veteran samples. Her work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and by the Department of Defense. She is currently conducting research to apply the theoretical framework of behavioral economics to this comorbidity.
