In 2015, the SUNY Brain Network of Excellence (BNE) plans to support up to four BNE Post-doctoral Fellows.

The SUNY Networks of Excellence connect students and faculty with each other and with external funders and private sector experts to spur research and drive innovation, economic opportunity and job growth across New York State. The SUNY BNE is soliciting applications through its 2014-2015 SUNY Brain Network of Excellence Postdoctoral Fellows Funding Program – PI Projects – Request For Proposals. The program will consist of up to three years of training for qualified post-doctoral candidates. The SUNY BNE will fund the initial year of study with the possibility of a second year of BNE funding based on productivity and the availability of funds. The projects must be completed in two (or more) collaborating laboratories at different SUNY campuses in the SUNY BNE.

Applications to host post-doctoral fellows are being solicited through this RFP, which is intended to be completed by researchers within the SUNY system. Applications to be post-doctoral fellows will be solicited through a separate RFP.

Required LETTERS OF INTENT are due by 5:00 pm EST on Friday, January 16, 2015. Applications from Post-Doctoral candidates will be solicited in January and February. Full proposals to be developed in collaboration with Post-Doctoral candidates will be due March 27, 2014.
