OnCore becomes another tool for UB researchers, as the university looks for ways to broaden support.

Managing Clinical Trials

UB has purchased the OnCore Enterprise Research system to support research activities and compliance. OnCore is a comprehensive Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) developed by Forte Research Systems that supports academic medical centers, cancer centers, and healthcare systems around the country. The system will provide a central location for recording research activity, offering easy access to important information with a few clicks.

Integration between OnCore and the recently implemented Click Portal will ensure that clinical trial protocols submitted and reviewed by the IRB within Click are seamlessly transitioned to the OnCore system. Click automates the submission, review and approval processes while OnCore will allow for enhanced trial management, robust reporting, enrollment tracking and accurate clinical research billing. The combined systems will manage the entire lifecycle of a clinical trial, from protocol creation to project closeout.

Once the system has launched in summer 2016, there will be training for clinical research faculty and staff. UB's Clinical Research Office (CRO) will facilitate the training, contacting various departments to schedule training sessions.
