A UB Small Business Innovation Award can help faculty move from Phase I to Phase II federal funding of an SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) or STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer Research) grant.
The competitive SBIR and STTR programs encourage domestic small businesses to engage in federal research and development that has the potential for commercialization. By offering access to world class scientists, engineers and facilities, UB and its researchers can enhance small business R&D programs.
The UB Small Business Innovation Award (UB SBIA) provides matching funds to qualifying companies awarded SBIR or STTR Phase I awards.
