Portion Sizes

While many people are home these days, one common activity that people are experiencing is eating.

How Much is Enough?

With more people home to eat multiple meals a day, you may find yourself eating more than you need to. To make sure you don’t put on unwanted pesky pounds, paying attention to portion size helps! Reading nutritional labels, possibly purchasing a kitchen scale can help in your endeavors to not overeat. Portion size is out of control in the USA. Most weight gain living in the USA includes eating massive portion sizes everywhere and eat them fast. What I’ve learned over the years is that you don't actually need that much and that eating slower will fill you faster, half the time, you’ll find that you can't finish your portions.

If you're finding that you're still hungry try and pace yourself, I can guarantee you'll be less hungry, maybe even try using a dessert fork so it takes longer. Most of the time it's not a case of you not eating enough, just too fast for your stomach to send the signal to your brain that you're full in time!
