The American Heart Association maintains a training center through a partnership with the University at Buffalo, Recreation Services Department located at Clark Hall, South Campus.
CPR, AED and First Aid Training is available to the UB community and the general public.
Classes are held on select Thursdays and Fridays, depending on the type of class being offered.
Any additional classes, as well as any closures or cancellations, will be listed on the registration form.

First Aid Training will begin immediately following CPR Training classes on select Thursdays and Fridays. Please be advise this start time may vary class to class.

Pediatric First Aid is available upon request and supplements the standard Heartsaver First Aid. Pediatric First Aid is more advanced than regular First Aid and will meet any job requirement.

Students who have NOT preregistered and paid for the class via our website will be allowed to walk in on a first come first serve basis. If the class is full of preregistered students there will be no walk ins accepted. However, anyone walking into the course will need to pay via our website prior to receiving their certification card.
IMPORTANT: The only way to guarantee a space in the class is to register and pay online via our website.
Payments must be made online at time of registration.
Low Enrollment/Emergency Cancellation
The University at Buffalo CPR program reserves the right to cancel classes at any time. Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment, severe or inclement weather, instructor illness, or emergency. In those very unlikely events, UB CPR will contact you via email. Participants preregistered in a cancelled class will receive priority enrollment in the next available class, or will be given the option to receive a full refund.
Cancellation
If you have registered and paid for the course you have guaranteed a space for that specific course date. Cancellations will not be accepted without a documented emergency (illness, death in the family). If you cannot attend the course you originally paid for, we will work with you to reschedule for another date. In the event of an emergency, supported with documentation, you will be eligible to receive a refund.
No-Show
If a registered student does not show up to their scheduled class and has not rescheduled, the student will forfeit the complete paid registration fee.
Please be advised during the event of inclement weather, CPR Classes will be cancelled when the University at Buffalo has closed.
Classes are held in 105 Clark Hall on UB’s South Campus. Take Main Street (US 5) to Bailey Ave and turn south. With UB campus on your right, turn right at the Sherman Road entrance and proceed to the Diefendorf Lot. Clark Hall is the grey stone building next to the parking lot. Enter the building through the CPR door (which faces the VA Hospital.)
