As the new academic year begins, the Fall 2024 Intramural Sports season at UB is officially underway! Whether you're an experienced athlete or just looking to have fun and meet new friends, here's what you need to know to get involved.

Key Dates & Registration

  • Volleyball:
    • Registration: 8/19 – 9/5
    • Captains Meeting: 9/8 @ 12:30 PM
    • First Games: 9/9
  • Basketball, Indoor Soccer, Outdoor Soccer, Flag Football:
    • Registration: 8/19 – 9/10
    • Captains Meeting: 9/14 @ 12:30 PM
    • Outdoor Soccer Starts: 9/15
    • All Other Sports Start: 9/16

All current, full-time UB students are eligible to participate, so gather your friends, start forming your teams, and get ready for a semester filled with excitement!

How to Sign Up

  1. Create an Account on IMLeagues
    1. Go to IMLeagues Registration
    2. Use your buffalo.edu email to sign up.
  2. Form or Join a Team
    1. If you're a captain, invite teammates and set up your roster.
    2. If you're a player, accept an invitation or search for teams to join.
    3. Free agents can create a profile and find teams that need additional players.
  3. Pay the Fee
    1. Each team must pay a $95 registration fee through IMLeagues to secure their spot. Make sure you have the minimum number of players on your roster before payment.
  4. Complete the Quiz
    1. All captains and players must pass a quiz covering UB Intramural policies and rules before participating. Information for the quiz is available in the Handbooks/Manuals section on the IMLeagues site.

Important Rules & Requirements

  • Full-Time Students Only: Alumni and community members are not allowed to participate.
  • Sportsmanship: Our ratings system ensures a fun and fair experience for everyone. Keep it clean and competitive!
  • Team Captains: Make sure you attend the mandatory captains' meetings and stay informed about schedules and updates.
