Membership

• Recreation members are expected to act responsibly and respect all others participating in UB Recreation facilities and programs.  Those engaging in unacceptable and irresponsible behavior may have their access to the facilities revoked and or modified.  UB Recreation staff will have the authority to decide what behavior is deemed appropriate in all situations/incidents that arise and require judgement and enforcement.  
• Misconduct includes but are not limited to:
• Engaging in or threatening verbal abuse, intimidation, harassment, or coercion.
• Loud, disorderly, disruptive, lewd, or indecent conduct
• Aggressive, unsafe, or reckless behavior toward self or others.
• Fighting, unruly conduct, or rough play.
• Unauthorized entry
• Failure to follow posted signs/directions.
• Failure to follow UB Recreation policies and procedures. 
• Disrupting or interfering with the workout of another member is not permitted.
• Physical abuse to property is not allowed. Aggressive behavior will result in immediate dismissal from the facility and loss of membership privileges and legal action.

• Always return equipment to its proper location and re- rack used weights. Please sanitize all equipment that you have used.
• Absolutely no dropping weights. All weights must be returned to the ground in a controlled manner.
• Appropriate clothing is required at all times. Tops are required and must cover the entire torso-stomach, ribcage and chest. No open-toe shoes or boots are permitted in the Fitness Center.
• No bags/backpacks are permitted in the Fitness Center. Jackets may not be left on the floor. Free lockers are available for use in the locker room and lock rentals are available in the Pro Shop.
• Do not use cameras, including cell phones, to record others without their consent as this is a violation of University Policy and New York State Law.
• To avoid unwanted noise, and for safety purposes, only personal headphone audio systems are allowed.
• Verbal and/or physical abuse of students and members, as well as physical abuse of the property is not allowed. Aggressive behavior will result in immediate dismissal from the facility.

LOCKER ROOM RULES

• Be courteous and respectful to others and keep the locker room family friendly.
• Do not leave valuables unattended.
• Do not use cameras, including cell phones, to record others without their consent as this is a violation of University Policy and New York State Law.
• Must have a valid Recreation Membership and appropriate identification at all times.
• Loitering, trespassing, inappropriate and/or suggestive behavior is prohibited and grounds for removal from the facility by Campus Police.

SAUNA & STEAM ROOM RULES

• Swim Suit and/or gym shorts must be worn at all times.
• Do not spit, urinate or ring out clothes.
• Do not bring food, cell phone, sneakers, dirty or sweaty clothes in the sauna or steam room.
• Do not tamper with light switches, bulbs or bulb covers.
• Loitering, trespassing, inappropriate and/or suggestive behavior is prohibited and grounds for removal from the facility by Campus Police. If you need assistance, contact Recreation Member Services at 175 Alumni Arena or 716-645-2286.
