Each month, we'll introduce you to an interesting member of the Professional Staff Senate. This month's featured member is Hailley Fenski, Associate Director for Alumni Engagement and External Relations for the School of Management.

How long have you worked at UB?

I have worked at UB for a little over 11 years. All of that time has been spent with the School of Management.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy meeting alumni from all over the world and hearing about their experiences as a student and how UB helped them get to where they are in their career.

What’s the most difficult part about your job?

The most difficult part of my job is not being able to reach and engage all of our alumni. With nearly 43,000 School of Management alumni, the job will never be complete!

What would you say is your biggest achievement at UB?

I am very proud of the growth I have had in my career over the past 11 years. I have been able to create and launch new programs, events and initiatives on a regular basis, impacting the lives of our students and alumni.

Tell us something about your department that isn’t well known.

We are a small but mighty team. Well, that may be well known.

If you were to share some advice for other professional staff, what would it be?

I would encourage staff to stretch themselves. Take on more responsibility, join a professional organization or a board, learn a new skill and network with others.

Do you have any hobbies? What do you do for fun?

I love to travel, golf, read, garden and workout.

Do you have a favorite meal you like to prepare?

Taco night any night of the week!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

The list is long and I plan to check them all off someday soon.
