UB will host the Ride for Roswell, the annual bicycle ride to help raise funds to support cancer research and patient treatment at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, on June 22. The ride will once again be located at the north end of the North Campus in the Governors C and D and Jarvis A and B lots. The Celebration of Hope will be held in the same location on June 21.

Ride for Roswell is one of the nation’s largest charity cycling events, bringing a community of people together to celebrate cancer survivors, pay tribute to those lost and share in a passion that connects us all: finding cures for cancer. The space on campus means a better start-and-finish-line experience, a team tent village close to the action, new vendors and interactive activities.

“We are thrilled to continue UB’s partnership with Roswell Park,” says Amy Veiders, associate director of annual events. “This year, we are looking forward to once again hosting the event on campus, providing an open and accessible space for our community to come together and raise vital funds for cancer research.”

The North Campus community should expect heavy pedestrian and bike traffic that Friday afternoon and all-day Saturday. Individuals are asked to take note of upcoming closures and plan their commutes accordingly.
