UB Freshmen Prehealth 101 Online Workshop

Prehealth 101 is an online workshop, accessed through UB Learns, and is the starting point for all first-year students interested in pursuing a career as a doctor, dentist, physician assistant, veterinarian, optometrist, chiropractor or podiatrist.

In order for a first-year student at UB to meet with a prehealth advisor, they must first complete all modules of the Prehealth 101 course.

Prehealth freshmen will be contacted via their UB email accounts with information about how to access Prehealth 101 through UB Learns by the end of September for students starting in fall 2021 and by the end of February for students starting in spring 2022.

Prehealth 201 Online Informational Session for Sophomores

If you completed the Prehealth 101 workshop and are continuing to pursue your goal of a professional health career (medicine, dentistry, veterinary, physician assistant, optometry, podiatry, or chiropractic), complete this online workshop to learn about all the unique considerations that prehealth sophomore students should be contemplating. Topics such as study abroad, GPA patterns and trends, recommendation letters and more will be discussed. Use the session as a way to stay on track toward your goals and see what aspects of your application need further development.

Sophomores who completed Prehealth 101 as freshmen will automatically be added to Prehealth 201 in UBlearns by the end of September. All others can fill out the form on our Getting Started page to be added.
