Buffalo ranked among top 10 cities most supportive of startups

Buffalo ranked 10th among the top 150 startup-friendly cities in the United States according to a survey of about 3,000 entrepreneurs conducted by MarketBeat. The Queen City’s ranking falls just behind expected startup hubs like New York City, Miami, Austin, and Houston.

“These smaller cities prove you don’t need a massive budget or a famous skyline — smart, targeted support can level the playing field,” the report points out.

The ranking specifically pointed out 43North and its annual awards competition, START-UP NY and incubators such as Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus’ innovation center and the University at Buffalo’s facilities offering mentorship and labs.
