Screengrab of baseline with "View Older Projects" highlighted.

5. If you click on a survey that is already closed, you will be taken directly to the Project Results page. If your survey is still open, you will be taken the Project Dashboard page. From the Project Dashboard, click the View Results button in the Results box.

6. Within Results section of your project, expand the Export box on the right side of the page by clicking the arrow.  This will allow you to see your export options.

Results screen with “Export” box expanded and all “Raw Data” and “Export” checkboxes selected.

7. Check the boxes next to the export options you would like to include within your Raw Data or Report export. A quick explanation of your options:

  • Raw Data version of the results: Each respondents results are on a separate row within the file.  This format is called your raw data.  This format is the best if you intend on manipulating the data for further statistical analysis.

  • Report version of the results: The results are show in aggregate view. The data is presented in the same format that you are seeing within the results section.  Any data manipulation currently reflected on your results (filters, etc.) will also be reflected within the export. This export is best for sharing the results as-is.

  • Alternate Codes: Within the export you have the ability to see the responses as text (strongly agree, Moderately agree, Neither agree nor disagree, etc.) or as the numeric code alternately assigned to the response (5,4,3, etc.).  By checking the Alternate Codes box the results will be show within the numeric format.

  • Open-ended responses:  By checking this box you will be including all the open ended text responses within your survey export.

We recommend downloading each of the following:

  • Two Raw Data Excel exports. Both should have opened ended questions checked. One should have Alternate Codes, the other should not.

  • One Report Export into PDF Portrait.

Finally, we recommend exporting an outline of the survey itself.

To do this, scroll to the top of the Project Results page and click on the “< Project Dashboard” button to return to the Project Dashboard.

From the Project Dashboard, click on the Outline button at the top of the page:

Click on the Word link and save as a .docx file. (note: make sure to change the file type to .docx, as the default is a webpage format).
