A central component of the mission of Educational Effectiveness is to provide assessment training, resources, and support to the campus commumunity.
OEE staff members have made a significant impact on student learning assessment at all levels of the institution (university-wide, department, program and course) as evidenced by UB’s full re-accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education in June 2014.
Our qualified staff members continue to support the university through the delivery of professional development workshops and events, just-in-time resources, and consultation and collaboration on assess,emt-related projects.
The Office of Educational Effectiveness is collaborating with partners across the university to provide formative assessment data regarding the transition to remote instruction. Results are available here.
Formerly known as Assessment Day, the Student Success Summit is a professional development day designed to inspire the UB community around key issues related to student success and the use of assessment to inform efforts to address these issues.
