Grief counseling, clinical implications and treatment of child, adolescent and adult grief and loss, suicide prevention
Jenifer Lawrence teaches graduate courses on grief counseling, mental health counseling and rehabilitation counseling.
Prior to joining UB, she practiced privately counseling children, adolescents, and adults with issues of grief and loss. She has also provided crisis intervention counseling in area schools and counseled patients facing life-threatening illnesses and their families at Niagara Hospice.
She is associate dean for student affairs and administration in UB's Graduate School of Education (GSE) and directs graduate studies in GSE's Department of Counseling, School, and Educational Psychology.
