Abstract: This CD-ROM contains 70 technical papers and nearly 40 posters presented at the Sixth National Seismic Conference on Bridges and Highways, under the theme of Seismic Technologies for Extreme Loads.  Held July 28-30, 2008 in Charleston, South Carolina, a city faced with the need to prepare for both earthquakes and hurricanes, over 300 engineers, design consultants, researchers, and other professionals responsible for transportation facilities attended the event.  The CD-ROM also includes a preliminary agenda, author index, and information about corporate sponsors, exhibitors, committee members and conference organizers.
