UB student chapter relaunches Institute of Transportation Engineers membership

The ITE logo features an image of New York State with the names of different cities commonly associated with Upstate New York.

During the spring 2022 semester, sustainable transportation and logistics MS students, faculty and staff met with representatives from The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) to relaunch the Upstate New York student Chapter at the University at Buffalo.

The ITE is an international membership association of transportation professionals who work to improve mobility and safety for all transportation system users and help build smart and livable communities. Through its products and services, ITE promotes professional development and career advancement for its members, supports and encourages education, identifies necessary research, develops technical resources including standards and recommended practices, develops public awareness programs, and serves as a conduit for the exchange of professional information.

Under the leadership of ITE student Chapter representative Afif Allahma Farabi, sustainable transportation and logistics MS candidate, the planning committee review current Charter status and discussed prospective participation in upcoming ITE Events.
