Engineering for all

I joined UB’s chapter of a national engineering club called the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). The club is actually open to students from any culture or background who are doing research in engineering. It’s helped me network with people from all over the world.

The engineering club is great. It offers discounts to attend conferences, training, access to internships and scholarships. I even got a pin and certificate for joining! It will also help me find job opportunities in my field when the time comes. A friend of mine in the club went to a conference in Texas, where there were around 300 companies! He wants to work at Boeing and got to meet them there.
