In addition to the standard fall and spring semesters, the University at Buffalo offers many opportunities for credit-bearing study during the short summer and winter terms—whether you are planning to complete your degree at UB or not.
Studying at UB for a summer or winter session provides a short-term opportunity to experience everything a major research university and the Buffalo-Niagara region have to offer. It's a great way to “sample” UB's many opportunities and then return home or continue on for degree study.
Short-term programs run from three weeks to 12 weeks. Course offerings are announced two to three months before the start of each session.
Visit the Class Schedules website to view course offerings and schedules.

For students already studying in the U.S., summer and winter study may help accelerate your studies by allowing you to take required or elective courses toward your graduation. You can also benefit from spending time in a new part of the United States to enrich your educational experience.
If you are currently enrolled in another U.S. college or university and are interested in coming to UB for the summer or winter session, you may qualify for concurrent enrollment.
