Welcome to the University at Buffalo! Now that you have been accepted, there are a few more steps you must complete before becoming a UB student. Listed below are some time-sensitive items that you should keep in mind while preparing to enroll.
Spring Semester: December 1
Fall Semester: May 1
Tuition deposits are accepted after the deadline dates if seats are still available. But don’t lose your chance to study at UB; make your commitment by the specified deadlines.
Once you have decided that UB is the school for you, it’s time to reserve your place here by paying your tuition deposit.
If you are planning to live on campus, this is also the time to reserve your room by paying your housing deposit.
It is critical that every student arrive in the U.S. on or before the start date on their I-20 or DS-2019.
If you have any concerns about your ability to arrive on time, please contact our office directly via email at email@example.com.
We know that you may not be able to pay the cost of your tuition all at once. That is why we offer payment plans that allow you to pay in small installments. If you are interested in payment plans, you will need to sign up for one of these plans before the start of your first semester. To check the deadlines for the coming term, please visit the Student Accounts website.
If you are currently living in New York State on a visa other than an F-1 or a J-1 you may be eligible for in-state tuition. For more information on how to apply and to view the deadlines for the application, please visit Student Accounts.
If you recently applied to UB as an undergraduate freshman or transfer student, you can check the status of your application online. It's easy!
