Staying Connected From Home

ISS has compiled a list of resources to improve students’ academic, personal, and social experiences during this global health crisis.

On this page:

Food Resources

  • Blue Table: UB’s food pantry service has resources available for pickup.

Mindfulness and Meditation Resources

Academic and Professional Resources

Even though classes are remote you can still get support from many offices on campus.

Tutoring & Academic Support Services

UB's Tutoring & Academic Support Services has a lot of great information on their website. Many of UB’s academic support services can be accessed online and some are also offering virtual appointments to allow you to speak with a staff member.

Check out their flyer for tips on being successful while distance learning below!

Navigate's Study Buddies Feature

Study Buddies is a feature within the Navigate mobile app or desktop site that allows you to opt-in to connect with students in each of your classes who are interested in forming study groups. How you choose to interact can be decided by your group, whether it be in-person or virtually.

Staying Connected

Social distancing does not need to end all socializing. Connect with others and meet new friends through these online activities and workshops.

  • Volunteer virtually: Click to RSVP for an event that lets you know how to support causes remotely.
  • Network for Enriched Academic Relationships (NEAR): this transdisciplinary mentoring directory functions to provide graduate students guidance with issues beyond academia
  • Through WiSE, undergraduate and graduate women majoring in STEM disciplines can network with peers and obtain support from mentors.
