New York State AAU institutions write to US Departments of State & Homeland Security in response to visa restrictions targeting Chinese students and scholars.
Association of American Universities (AAU) institutions from New York state, including UB, are advocating for students affected by recent immigration issues like the May 29th presidential proclamation restricting entry to the United States on F or J visas for some students and researchers from China.
A letter to Department of State Secretary Pompeo and Department of Homeland Security Acting Secretary Wolf, signed by university presidents, highlights issues our students are facing and asks for action from the government.
The letter is signed by the presidents of Columbia University, New York University, University of Rochester, Stony Brook University, Cornell University, and University at Buffalo.
