Clinician Scientist from Nigeria Receives Prestigious HIV Research Trust Award for training at UB's Center for Integrated Global Biomedical Sciences

The HIV Research Trust Trustees have selected Dr. Waheed Adeola Adedeji from the University of Ibadan in Ibadan, Nigeria for a scholarship award to complete clinical pharmacology and drug development training at UB's Center for Integrated Global Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Adedeji is a physician scientist in the Department of Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology.

Dr. Adedeji will complete his six month research training period at the University at Buffalo’s Center for Integrated Global Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, New York. The HIV Research Trust is a charitable foundation that provides financial support to physicians, nurses, scientists and other health care professionals in early/mid-career who are located in resource-limited settings from low-income and lower-middle-income countries working in the field of HIV infection. Dr. Adedeji’s application was noted to be of high quality and was selected from among a highly competitive group of applicants.
