SUNY Insure helps faculty entrepreneurs and startups affiliated with UB Incubators manage the financial risks of early-stage business development by providing required insurance coverage at affordable rates.
About SUNY Insure
The SUNY Research Foundation (RF) partners with Amsure Associates to provide coverage. Amsure’s industry expertise spans the areas of research and development, life sciences/ technology, manufacturing and health care. Amsure professionasl provide expert advice on complex business insurance issues and the agency’s independence provides the flexibility required to structure insurance programs that meet the specific needs of startup companies.
Participation and Eligibility
Insurance coverage is offered to startups in the first three year of formation that are:
- formed to commercialize RF and SUNY technology with a principal place of business in New York State
- operating with the support of the UB Incubators
- affiliated with a UB Commercialization program offerd thorugh Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships
