Connecting ideas to action
The Technology and Entrepreneurship Class will walk students through the process of starting a new technology-based venture, as students obtain an overview of how to take an idea from generation to commercialization.
Through case analyses, mini lectures, guest speakers, class pitches, and business plan presentations, students will acquire skills in conceptualizing, developing and managing a successful new venture involved in or affected by technological innovation. These skills will then be applied to a class project focused on the development of a technology-based idea.
The course is designed for graduate students in arts, sciences, engineering, health sciences, law and management. Upper-level undergraduate students are also welcome.
