The Vice Provost for Equity and Inclusion is proud to recognize a significant accomplishment by one of the University at Buffalo's Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council members.  Dr. Margaret Moss was honored with two Book of the Year awards for her book “American Indian Health and Nursing” by the American Journal of Nursing. In this prestigious competition for best scholarship in the field of nursing, Dr. Moss’ book won first place in the Professional Issues category and second place in the Community/Public Health category. The book extensively examines and maps out the disparities in American Indian Health and addresses controversial topics including the Indian health system and future Indian health funding.
These essays, which were published in the UB Reporter, are focused on diversity and inclusion in higher education and at the University of Buffalo.
