Programs and Degrees

The Institute for Computational and Data Sciences provides multiple educational programs to accommodate and train data science students and professionals at different levels. These programs provide students with the skills they need to thrive in the rapidly evolving fields of information technology and data science.

This program trains scientists to analyze big data and multisource datasets to solve these grand challenges, by bringing together the talents of faculty across several departments including the Departments of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Math, Physics, and Chemistry.
This program provides students with a core foundation in big data and analysis by obtaining knowledge, expertise, and training in data collection and management, data analytics, scalable data-driven discovery, and fundamental concepts.
This program trains students in analytics, including standard methods in data mining and machine learning, so they will possess the expertise to obtain insights from large and heterogeneous data sets.
ICDS offers undergraduate courses in Computing and Network Management (carried over from Millard Fillmore College). These 3-credit courses are all offered entirely online and be taken for credit toward your undergraduate degree.
ICDS offers professional development opportunities that include training sessions on current skills and core knowledge needed to analyze complex data and new technologies, such as deep learning and blockchain. These opportunities help professionals, faculty and graduates advance their careers.
