What mentoring means to me:

I believe that mentoring is the single best way that I can give back to the a community of learners similar to the one that gave so much to me. I truly consider the relationships that I have been able to make with exemplary mentors to be one of the largest contributors to the success I have had in my professional journey to date. The incredible mentors I have had the opportunity to learn from have shaped me into the clinician, researcher, and person that I am today. My hope is that I can be this type of mentor to students here at UB.

Topics I am willing to discuss with students:

Academic Culture

  • Dealing with politics and conflict with faculty or peers.
  • Decoding and demystifying academic culture and norms.
  • Uncertainty about staying in grad school.

Personal Experiences

  • Experiences related to being a woman.
  • Non-U.S. citizen or immigrant experiences.
