An integral member of the Antimicrobial Resistance Big Ideas team of CGHE, Dr. Diana Aga, the Henry M. Woodburn Chair and Professor of Chemistry will be recognized at UB’s Fall 2019 Celebration of Academic Excellence

Along with colleagues from Computer Science and Engineering, Biochemistry, Electrical Engineering, and Physics, Aga will be awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities. Established in 2002, the State University of New York designed this award to recognize university faculty members “who consistently go above and beyond their teaching and professional duties to make extraordinary contributions to their respective fields.” Upon learning of her selection for this award, Aga said “I’m grateful to be recognized in this way by the colleagues who nominated me, and by SUNY, as well!” Because of her heavy research and travel schedule, Aga will have to miss the October 31st award ceremony. However, her colleagues at CGHE, the Department of Chemistry, and her many students and mentees will be celebrating. Congratulations, Dr. Aga!
