American Association of University Women (AAUW) Dissertation Fellowship

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Dissertation Fellowship is dedicated to helping women succeed academically. The program provides funding for women pursuing full-time study to complete dissertations. The purpose of this fellowship is to offset the scholar’s living expenses while she completes her dissertation. The total award amount is $20,000.

November 1

• Be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
• Be a woman scholar in any field of study at an accredited U.S. or international institution of higher education.
• Have completed all coursework, passed all preliminary exams, had the dissertation research proposal or plan approved, and use the fellowship for the final year of writing the dissertation. 
• Be completing their first doctoral degree.
